Here's a couple of minor user interface tweaks. I'll use the Rhythm Selection Dialog box as an example. In the field for filtering, clicking in the field should select any text that is in the field. As soon as something is typed into the field, the Filter button should change color to activate it. Thus, hitting Return (Enter) would execute the commend without having to click the button. This should follow everywhere something is selected and a button needs to be clicked. Another example is the Edit Chord Symbol.
I think you were going to make 'Use tempo of selected rhythm' unchecked as default.
I have added a bunch of rhythms, but they are not available. They look like all the others, but it seems they can't be read. I'm wondering if a notice could pop up on startup stating, or even listing, rhythms that can't be read. I have opened songs I did with older versions of JJL only to find that the rhythms I had used were missing, or maybe no longer readable. Was the Rhythm folder changed somewhere along the way? Can they become corrupt? Also, when this happens, instead of a default rhythm substituted, could a dialog box come up asking which rhythm to substitute and whether to make that permanent or temporary for this session. I have found that the choice of rhythm used originally gets overwritten in the file and I no long know what it was.
So one last question. If rhythm files can be of a type that are not readable, it there a way to fix them? Could a repair feature be added, or is there a separate application I could use on my Mac to convert files so they comply?
I mention a while ago that my Favorites had disappeared. What might have happened and could that be related to my songs not finding the original rhythms I had selected.
I really like the audition button for Rhythms. Thank you for adding the preference to disable mouse scrolls. Very helpful!
