I have 4 available options:
Java Internal Synth Microsoft MIDI Mapper VirtualMIDISynth #1 Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth
According to the manual VirtualMIDISynth #1 should sound the best but to my ear Java Internal Synth sounds better. What am I dong wrong?
Thank you for any help, yeto

Well it's a matter of taste of course. The Java Internal Synth default soundfont is probably around 10MB but it is super well "sound designed", I mean there is a very good mix between sounds. The JJazzLab SoundFont is 350MB... By the way I updated it a few days ago it's still available at musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/1036Using VirtualMidiSynth/JJazzLab SoundFont (with the the right Output Synth "Virtual Midi Synth/JJazzLab SoundFont" preset) provides other advantages regarding instrument selection.

Thank you. This is very helpful. I downloaded the update and I am going to change back to JJazzlab Soundfont.
