Hi I have just been installing JJazzlab. I think I have followed the instuctions properly but when usin the MIDI installation wizard and pressing Finish I get a message - "Problem Accessing MIDI device VirtualMIDISynth#1 Undefined External Error. I'm afraid I am not very computer literate so any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

I have gone through again using the wizard and also through the options route but same message pops up.
The soundfonts file is visible in the Coolsoft virtual MIDI synth . When I click on the MIDI Mapper tab the Default MIDI out device is empty. The section below under the heading Windows Media Player default device shows Virtual MIDISynth#1

well, I guess you'll have to use the Java internal synth (go to Tools/Options/Midi). It's a basic embedded GM synth, but it should work.
JJazzLab 4.0 will embed its own synth which the JJazzLab soundfont, so no more configuratino hassle, it will work straight out of the box.

I wondered if I should download the CoolSoftMIDIMapper which is referenced in the text in the MIDIMapper section
