I've read the comic, watched tutorials. The penny just won't drop. I can't insert chords anywhere other than at the start of a bar. I can play about with copy then adjust. There's got to be a direct way.
Also, I can set 6/8 and 12/8 time signatures but cant arrange a triplet rhythm
Elementary I know.
Please be patient.
Thanks. Regs P

OK.
I can make it work. Type in a chord holding mouse over any old position. Then drag it around to wherever. Too many wrong moves and crash.
Still trying to sus out the triplet crack. I'm sure I'll sort it.
I was just hoping for a bit of instant gardening here.
I've used Jammer! before it became defunkt and I went linux ubuntu studio.
Jjazzlab looks to be the biz.
A good soundfont with sampled instruments is what I'm also working on.

Re triplets.
Until I find the official accepted triplet input method, I'm being creative with 3/4 time and accents.
I can announce that I'm onboard, somehow, creating tracks.
So,
Best regards all,

What do you want to do exactly ?
If it's to input 3 chords during one beat, you should change chord quantization. Select a bar, righ-click popupmenu then Quantization.

bon jour Jerome, thanks for responding.
I've used jjazzlab sf2 and fluidsynth sf2. I'm more concerned with orchestral composition thus I'm working on a soundfont with sampled instruments much the same as I did with my akais6000.
I eel that building an sf2 soundfont comlying to gm framework only with samples would be more transportable.
i used to use roland synths and their gm sounds just to get a feel for a composition and then codge up a samples on my s6000. In those days memory was so expensive doing everything in the box was prohibitive.
I'm finding my way round jjazzlab step by step and intend to stick with it.
It is but one block in my current endeavours:
Jjazzlab Polyphone Ardour Blender Linux Ubuntu Studio.
My brain cells are deserting me ever more rapidly!
Regards and thanks.
