Hello all,
Sorry to hog the forum.
Since loading AVlinux (ex ubuntustudio 23.04) I'm getting what only can be described as phasing/reverb and "wobbly undulating" sound. regardless of song, pattern or soundfont.
If i export the the midi file to, say, LMMS it plays as normal.
I'm using MAudio 1010lt soundcard.
Otherwise, brilliant kit.
I see version 4 is on the anvil. Can't see what else could be done to achieve a backing track.
Perhaps, the ability to add a playalong midi track.
regards
P
As ever, beating your brains out and kicking your gear round the studio has produced results. Removed 1010lt rebooted install bios defaults and ran Jjazzlab through onboard audio. Okay. reinstalled 1010lt in another pci slot disabled onboard audio--no difference. Started Qjackctl and ran. All okay.
Up till now.

Righty oh. I've made friends with everything now. Qjackctl seems to be the answer to everything. If it's open-leave it open. simple screenrecorder clocks jack as a factor. Everything works a treat. I got absolutely nowhere, jack or no jack in ubuntu studio 23.04. AVlinux for me, now.
best regards all.
