Hey Everyone!
I'm new with the program and I love to explore it!
Things I still struggle with:
1. How to type in the chord B(b5)? It doesn't give me the option to.. Notice the b is for the 5th. I can type in B7(b5), but I don't want the 7.
2. How do I make the CODA part (or any ending section) to begin not at the end of the last part - but in the middle of it (some other bar I choose) - like CODAs usually behave haha
3. When I have a chord that lasts for 2 bars, there is some sort of a pause and the backing track is not 'fluent'.. I tried both to remove the chord completely from the 2nd bar, or leave it - both end up with the same result..
Thank you so much in advance!!

You should write it B7b5 no brackets. In addition you'l find all chord types in Options/chords - you can also create aliases e.g. I added C- instead Cm or C-hd instead of Cm7b5 which takes less space in the measure when you have 2 chords in one measure good luck: JJazzlab is fantastic ! hans

1. B(b)5 is a very unusual chord... It's not used in real books nor by Yamaha. What is the chord progression ? Maybe you could find an approaching chord using a slash chord.
2. You can build any song structure using the song structure editor, reordering, removing or duplicating sections. Same for coda, you just need to have a section where the coda starts.
3. this is strange. Please post .sng and .mix file.

I'm attaching the .sng and .mix as well as the pdf sheet music I was working by. #3 refers to the last bar in CODA Thank you!

For the chord there is a mistake in your leadsheet, it shoul dbe Bm7b5 (half-diminished), it's the II of a A minor II-V-I.

Thanks!
Did you get the chance to check what's wrong with that last bar? How do I fix that 'pause'?

Yes. The problem is that you use the "Ending A" variation, which Yamaha designed to be a 1-bar ending (a single final chord on 1st beat). You coda is 4 bars so JJazzLab repeats 4 times this 1-bar ending, hence the problem. You should use a Main-X variation on the coda, and add a section on last bar with variation Ending A. I added some more doc about the Yamaha styles "standard" variations here jjazzlab.gitbook.io/user-guide/rhythm-engines/yamjjazz-rhythm-engine/yamaha-styles
