@ nova227Chord Analysis Function : what kind of analysis would you like to see ? Documentation: the pdf export in the gitbook doc has been improved recently, you get the same rendering as in the web page Live Control Using Foot Switch: some simple remote control commands are already supported, see Options/Midi In Chord Chart for current up coming Chords during playback: have you tried the Easy Reader tool ? (menu tools)

thanks for the response
1. Chord Analysis Function : what kind of analysis would you like to see ?
…. There are numerous apps out now that analyze a song give a you completed chord chart in the format like in Jjazz lab and Band in a Box. yamaha has an excellent free app on ios called Chord Tracker that creates chord chart that can be transferred directly to the new PRS keyboards. I it does a very good job. This a nice to have time saver. I can easily just key the analysis
2. Documentation: the pdf export in the gitbook doc has been improved recently, you get the same rendering as in the web page
…. i have looked very where for the PDF link but I can’t find it.
3. Live Control Using Foot Switch: some simple remote control commands are already supported, see Options/Midi In.
……I didn’t realize that was there. I need to investigate. with this function could you add a midi control surface to control the mixer faders and transport etc ?
4. Chord Chart for current up coming Chords during playback: have you tried the Easy Reader tool ? (menu tools) ……. I would like to the actual fingering for the current and upcoming chord in format used in Chord Inspector. That is the fingering of the chord .

I have now tried JJazzLab for a couple of weeks, and created some nice backing for my playing,
I often make the song structure with its parts and repeatings first, and then try it out with different styles - but after having imported a lot of different yamaha styles I really miss some kind of feature, where I can mark, tag, annotate or rate the styles in the rhythm-library. When I have tried 50+ styles I cant remember the 3-4 that makes sense to work on.
When listening to eg the Main-1A for a style it could be nice to be able to make a chord on my midi keyboard and head how the style work for different chords (eg from C to Em). Actually I really miss the possibility to enter chords just by playing the Chord on the midi keyboard. I have and old 90' technics organ, that support chord recording - it simply allowed you to play a chord and press either a half-bar key or a full bar key, to store the chord as a half or full bar chords - very simple and very easy to use.
Regards Thomas

@ samoht65You can mark some rhythms as "favorite" from the rhythm selection dialog. You should also try the "Arranger mode" (menu tool). Entering chord symbols from midi keyboard is on the to-do list, but I did not get many requests for it, so it's not high-priority...

Thanks for response. I dont know why I haven't seen the favorite feature, when I have spend so many hours looking at the rhythm-selection dialog It seems to work exactly as I want.
I have to do some more playing/testing with the arranger-mode, to learn how it works - It might be a way to test styles.
Thanks again for a nice music tool.

Oh, one more thing I really could use. A variable bar-lenght that fits the rhytm pattern. It could be really nice for intro's and ending, when you try different style. I some case Intro-B is 3 bars other 4 bars, and I find my self constantly inserting and deleting bars, allthoug JJazzLab know how many bars the Intro is - It could be a really nice feature, just to mark the intro en ending bar as "variable".
