@ asbak I understand the problem. JJazzLab code for this is open-source, I would need the help of a developer who knows Jack audio (I develop on Windows). Indeed if some code of TuxGuitar could be reused that could help.

Hi, for example I would like to have row of buttons in arranger window to switch between intro, main and ending variants similar to how you can switch between them on arranger keyboards... Maybe also assign it to numeric keys on QUERTY keyboard or to sequence of keys on 88-keyboard as I currently don't have touch screen device at hand ;-) Maybe I could try to add it myself, as I also have some experiences with Java programming, but I still have tons of work on my own midi editor fork... It all takes so much time, or maybe I'm just too slow and lazy Btw. I tested JJazzLab 3.0.2a with Yamaha MODX and it seems to be working ok, but let me know if you would like me to test some functionality with it... Great work on JJazzLab. Keep up.

Based on a previous post, I would like to make the following suggestion:
In the Chord Edit Menu, under the Interpretation tab, I would like to see a "Rest" (single instrument and/or all) option added to the existing menu (Normal, Accent, Hold, Shot).
Thanks.

Hey there great program, can you please take in consideration to add zero bars to the Click Precount? When I export the midi file I want to have it without any blank measure before cause i want to use them in some old equipment and is hard to cut and trim the files in there
Thank you
George

How exactly you use it with MODX? just as a simple keyboard with sound generator or you can load the files you do with jazzlab in it? Thanks George

@ fajah After analysis, I will not implement the chord "rest" feature. Using chord interpretation "shot" + "extended instruments" does the trick in many cases, even if I agree it's not a full customizable rest. But I don't want to make the UI even more complex, and there is now an easy workaround since 3.0: use the custom phrase rhythm parameter to remove the notes you don't want via your Midi editor.

@ pluto George, Midi export takes into account the precount setting. Just disable the precount (click on the button) and you won't have any precount bar in your .mid

How about a menu item to export as a wav file? At the moment I export as a midi file than manually run the following command (example of the last one I did)
fluidsynth -F nnywydao.wav JJazzLab-SoundFont.sf2 'Nobody knows you when youre down and out'.mid

JJazzLab is Midi-based, so audio rendering is left to the connected audio synth, which depends on the OS and on each user... You're doing the right way for FluidSynth. With VirtualMidiSynth on Windows it's also quite easy, but you need to generate the .mid first. There is a FAQ entry on this topic. Actually I'm working on an integrated audio-synth JJazzLab plugin. It will let user avoid to mess with Midi configuration, and add a "Save as .wav" command. Note that this will be a non-free (chargeable) option.

Hi, Thanks for this great piece of software. I use it as a practicetool for my guitarjourney And there lays my request.. The main screen is hard to follow since the chords are jumping all around when jumping between differtent song parts (chorus, verses etc..) It would be great to have a separate screen or popup in which I can see the current chord and the next 2 or 3 chords and perhaps a beat indicator/progressbar. Bit like guitarkaraoke. Next level would be adding guitarchordboxes and songtext to get a real/full karaoke feature. Cheers, Kees

@ keeze101 This makes sense. I add this to the todo list.

Hi! I'm really liking this app so far! It's very impressive and I'm looking forward to working with it and seeing what it's capable of.
A couple of feature requests: Could you add a way to change the color of a section? It would be nice to be able to color code similar sections in a chart. Can support be added for some enharmonic chord names like Cb, B#, Fb, and E#?

Not possible in the current version, but it's now in the to-do list.
Ok, I'll see if this is possible.

pint 6 is also what I would suggest, having A-3 is a great option!

I agree - a "drums only" or "full rest" would be VERY handy. It is called "break" on some arrangers (not fill, break)
